Push- There was no freedom and people couldn't do the things that everyone else could 

Pull- People Had freedom and could leave whenever they please, they had somewhat the same rights as everyone else

Missing Perspective
-One missing perspective from this source is the people that stayed during the migration instead of choosing to migrate to the other states. This is missing because in this source the only thing we see people going into the states but we don’t see the people that are not leaving.
-Another perspective that we are missing is the view of the people that are already living in those states. We don't see how those people are feeling now that jobs and money will be taken by those that are entering their states during this great migration. 
Review of Missing Perspective 
  1. This missing perspective could add the reasoning of why these people decided to leave and why those who stayed behind decided to do that, or if it was a choice or not. 
  2. This could show us those people's feelings and why they feel that way. It could also give us more sense in why this all happened the way that it did.

Push- African Americans were being so badly treated there 
Pull-  They wanted a chance to be treated the correct way and not like some animals.

  1. This excerpt talks about how the African Americans were given a chance through the great migration to move north. The perspective that we are missing is how the north felt about this. The story is from the perspective of only an African american so we don’t get the perspective of the people in the north. 
  2. We are also missing the perspective of the people in the south that are not African Americans and how they feel. 
Review of Missing Perspective
-We could get more of a sense of how this affects those that already live in the north
-This could show us the feelings of those who owned them in the south and how they made them feel compared to the African Americans who got to escape and go to the north.

-The missing perceptive in this source is the answer to the letter.
-We are also missing the perspective of how those people around where this person lives and to really get a feel of what they are feeling while this person wrote this letter and sent it.

  1. This could show us if they got what they wanted and if it all worked out in the way that they had wanted. 
  2. This could show us if everyone was being treated the same way or if it was just him and it could give us more of a feeling how this affects more than just one person's life but everyone who they are around and those that witness this.

-There weren't many places for them to go to school. So they basically all went to the same schools.

  1. The missing perspective is how the south was handling losing so many families and slaves. 
  2. This also shows how the slave owners and people that they worked for are feeling now that they had just left and found a free place in the north and they are finally getting somewhat of that they deserve.

  1. The missing perspective is the reaction of the people and how they thought about this. 
  2. This really changed a lot and this started a lot of problems and caused a lot of deaths with the changing of everything. The other missing perspective would be how these people felt to be locked in work and not allowed to do what they like with freedom of speech.
