This video demonstrates my use of student leadership and how I organize my classroom to facilitate learning for all. My equipment room managers monitor and check out cameras, tripods, and other equipment using a Google Sheets form. This method gives children a sense of ownership and responsibility while also teaching them to be accountable and responsible. Students gain organizational skills, teamwork abilities, and a sense of pride in their role by cooperating to maintain the room's smooth operation. Children learn respect, accountability, and consistency from this demanding but student-centered approach—all of which are critical components of a positive classroom culture.

This picture shows how I use structured group roles and work groups to keep my students interested and responsible in the classroom. While this was going on, I had one group of students in the control room working with technology, another group filming in the classroom, and the rest of the students filming around campus for the show. Every student was actively working on one common goal, but I gave each student a clear role and set of tasks. This plan encourages children to work together, be responsible, and be independent while also cutting down on behavior that isn't related to the task at hand. This is because they know exactly what is expected of them and how their work fits into the bigger picture of putting on our show.

This video shows my kids making our daily morning announcements social media show, "The Strike". My students do everything from developing the scripts to filming the segments to editing the final result. This method shows that students are learning and are really interested in what they're doing because they are in charge of their own work. Students learn how to work together, be creative, and think at a higher level by giving them the task of putting on a real show. They have to solve problems, meet deadlines, and keep up with professional standards. All of these things make the classroom a challenging, positive, and interesting place to be, where the students feel in charge of their own learning. And we do it every single day!

MTSS Behavior Strategies

This video shows my class taking a brain break from their notes by singing along to Justin Bieber's "Sorry." One of my students always randomly sings this song, so another student asked if we could all sing it! Of course, I thought it was hilarious and said yes! And I obviously had to join in with them! This activity is an exapmple of a Tier 1 MTSS intervention because it helps all the students get along and feel like they belong. This kind of brain break brings the class together, lowers tension, and gives kids a chance to reset so they can get back to their academics. By adding funny, shared moments to the day, I am making the classroom a friendly and supportive place for everyone to learn and have fun!

In this picture, one of my high school students from my leadership team is teaching a lesson to one of my middle school classes. This moment highlights how vital it is to be a good leader, take responsibility, and work together to take charge, they learn how to help and guide in a nice and helpful way. This helps them grow thier character as individuals and improves their communication skills!
