My goal for my artwork is to explore the generalization of art. Generalization in art occurs when a work of art is  "formulated as general concepts or claims." One of my favorite things about art is that it can leave the viewers with many different interpretations. Individual interpretation is why art can feel so personal; which I believe is heightened by generalization; if the artwork can portray many different concepts, depending on the observer.  I have recently been interested in a more animated style of art, though containing hints of realism, along with more color incorporation. With this more animated style I am able to be more expressive and creative with my art. A more animated style also makes it easier for me to exaggerate features, or expressions. I love to do portrait art because it allows for more detailing in the face to elaborate on facial expressions and the emotions behind. Most of my pieces have a personal meaning to me, but are intentionally seemingly vague, to hopefully spark individual perceptions.
