1.  The Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower which was built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution, by engineer Gustav Eiffel, was originally only supposed to stay up for 20 years. But its use as an antennae saved it and today it is the most recognizable symbol of Paris. Before the Empire State Building was built in 1931 it was the tallest building in the world at 320 meters or over one thousand feet high. 2. The Louvre Museum Louvre is the world’s largest museum and houses one of the most impressive art collections in history. The magnificent, baroque-style palace and museum — LeMusée du Louvre in French — sits along the banks of the Seine River in Paris. It is one of the city’s biggest tourist attractions. 3. Versailles The Palace of Versailles was the official residence of the Kings of France from 1682 until 1790. It was originally a hunting lodge, built in 1624, by Louis XIII. It is here from which the king radiated his power and where the destiny of Europe was decided over a century. The French classical architecture was complemented by extensive gardens. 4. Disneyland Formerly known as Euro Disney, this attraction sees over 12 million visitors per year, making it one of the continent's most popular destinations. Disneyland Paris offers more than just a theme park. The property is a resort containing Disneyland Park as well as a newer theme park, Walt Disney Studios Park. Visiting it is "a dream coming true". 5. Mont Blanc Mont Blanc is located between two countries, Italy and France.  The French people call it Mont Blanc, while the Italian people call it Monte Bianco. The meaning of both words is White Mountain. It is due to the fact that the mountain is covered by snowfield and glaciers. Even though Mont Blanc isn’t the highest mountain in the world, many people want to conquer it. It is considered as the highest mountain in the Alps and in Western Europe.
