How does he react when everyone sees him with his crazy hair? This book is great for teaching students about bullying and how to treat others who are different. <br>Teaching Lesson: Have students draw their own pictures of Stanley with crazy hair. Then discuss with the students why everyone has a different picture of Stanley with different colors and things in his hair. This lesson would be to show students that everyone is different inside and out, but that doesn't make them any different from us. <br><br></div>]]></description>

This book helps kids when dealing with someone they may not like, and stresses the importance of making friends. It is a great book on teaching kids how to treat others who they may not know much about. <br>Teaching Lesson: Have students create their own recipe of things they can do to make friends and to treat people they don't know. You can combine all of their ideas to create one big class recipe for a class enemy pie and you can hang it up in the classroom to remind the students. <br><br></div>]]></description>

It emphasizes the importance of filling an invisible bucket each day by showing an act of kindness and how rewarding these acts are when you fill someones bucket. After reading this book to your students, you can use the term filling someones bucket in the classroom to teach or emphasize kindness in classroom and to friends and the students will love it. <br>Teaching Lesson: Make buckets out of small containers for each student in the classroom and have the students write a friendly note or a compliment to put in other students buckets to represent filling someones bucket. You can tell your students that filling other peoples buckets is not just a physical thing like this activity. It can be done through words, actions, facial expressions, ect. </div>]]></description>
