1. Gladiators are important because they played an important part in Roman society. They were also used to distract the population from other negative issues in society.

2. Gladiators are interesting because some of them were slaves and grew stronger so they were let free. Also it is a good way to test peoples strengths and show there true colors.

3. Gladiators are professional fighters who used particular weapons and armor to earn freedom or prizes. Gladiators mostly fought as a form of entertainment for the higher ups and sometimes, they fight to death, even against animals.

4. One fact that I learned from researching was that the Romans considered gladiator-fighting a sport. Another interesting fact about gladiators was that not all of them were slaves, some of them were fighters from other countries coming to win prizes.

Wessam Alrafy, Martin Llanes, Viggo Suleiman

1. This is important because a lot of the things we have today that make up America is based off of the Greeks. Without the influence of Greece, a lot of the rules or laws that we have today would not exist.

2. The is interesting and unique because Greece has influenced many of the things we use today like the alphabet, democracy, and the library. America has used libraries and the alphabet to teach young kids to read and write so that they can be educated. America has also used democracy to choose different leaders for our country.

3. Greece has also influenced The Olympics, Science, Math, and even our Architecture! America holds the Olympics every so often and it was influenced off of Greece. We also have science and math because of Greece, they had the idea of researching things and finding out how many things someone has! America's architecture is also influenced off of Greece. There are things like Greek pillars and Greek gods on buildings like the White House and other important buildings.

4. One interesting fact that we researched about Greece's influence is that most of America is influenced off of Greece. If Greece did not have the ideas they had back then, most of the things we have today such as architecture, math, science, and the alphabet would not exist today.

Roman family life is important because it decides if you are a patrician or a plebeian. It was also law to protect the family structure.
This is interesting because it shows that family will always stay together. After all, you have to protect each other. It also surprises me that the families had all unmarried sons and daughters.
For fun, Roman families would play their own version of soccer and different sports to avoid boredom. They also like playing board games like Chess and Tic-Tac-Toe.
Some facts about Roman family life is that they all lived in one house or apartment. Most Roman families have two adults and two kids in each family.
