In chapter 11 Norris continues in Birmingham to find out why the police shot her dad, she also learns of a man named Issac who went blind because of police chief Lynwood Shull. She went on to find the chiefs brother and sister in-law and asked them about his brother to maybe find out why he had done it. Then Norris delves into the history of the segregation in Birmingham, so she meets up with Aubrey Justice who was a police officer in the 1940's. He tells her that there was a war going on back then and civil rights activists were getting attacked everyday and some of the police officers were good and some were bad and that's the way life works. She also learned of an attack that devastated a church two little girls died and 20 people were injured. Then Norris goes to A.H.
