         <title>What is Blooket?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Blooket is an interactive tool that gets students K-12 engaged within the classroom. It is designed as an online game where teachers can select the mode in which students. It offers an "O.G." mode which resembles other educational tech tools such as Kahoot! and Quizlet, but there are other modes such as "Crypto", "Fishing Frenzy", "Gold Rush", "Tower Defense", and "Battle Royale" are favorites of my classes. These games allow students to compete against each other for coins which they can use to upgrade their characters. The students are playing the game, but are rewarded for their correct answers. This is a great tool to use during reviews as it also gives the teacher data after the game has ended. This data is specific to each student and it allows the teacher to track their student's progress. </p>]]></description>

         <title>Learning Theories </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>After reading Guney and Al (2021) I concluded that <strong>constructivist learning theory</strong> is the theory in which the use of Blooket is most aligned with. This TechEd gets students involved in the content while the teacher is the facilitator. Learners can either interpret the new information and/or build upon their existing knowledge. This is what makes Blooket a great tool to review content with and a great way to introduce content. </p><p>In the Bower (2019) article, the author made an excellent point for people who are on the fence about using technology in the classroom. He states "digital technologies can perform a mediating role for participants in their attempts to achieve learning goals." This exemplifies that using digital technology to assist students in their learning is not only aligned with students attempting to achieve learning goals, but it also is aligned with popular learning theories. </p>]]></description>
