I would rate this book a 4.9/5 stars because It had a nice story line and it kept the reader on their toes. The only part i didn't like is when one of the side characters died. Besides that it was a GREAT book.

Dear author,

I love the book and reading it made me never want to stop. I wish that i could keep reading this book and that the story line never ended. I loved how it kept me on the edge of my seat and all the great characters. I want to read more of your books now. The only part i did no like is when Tree never saw the Aussies again and when Jams died. When jams died I was really sad because of his great character. Over all i really liked this book.

This is what the Japanese that worked in the camp looked like. They were mean and beat up the prisoners who had surrendered because it was considered dishonorable.
