The Author believes that people should never give up. He also believes that we should keep trying and giving it our all. I also observed that the author believes that there is support in groups of people. He thinks that we can never do stuff alone. That we should always try to help others. He also thinks that we should put others first before us. He thinks we should just hold on.

If you do, I will kill ya a second time." pg. 171 This is important to the story time because he needed to survive being tortured by the Japanese and they were coming to rescue him. It is important also because it tells us that he will get out of this alive.

Dear author,

I love the book and reading it made me never want to stop. I wish that i could keep reading this book and that the story line never ended. I loved how it kept me on the edge of my seat and all the great characters. I want to read more of your books now. The only part i did no like is when Tree never saw the Aussies again and when Jams died. When jams died I was really sad because of his great character. Over all i really liked this book.
