Lord, Messiah, Emmanuel, Second Adam, Son of God

The jews would call Jesus Lord as a reverence and knew him as YWHW. Son of God was used to describe an adoptive son who had a special relationship with God and sometimes was used for angels, kings, and chosen people. This was during the Old Testament, which in the New Testament, his divinity was connected to Son of God as his public ministry went on. Emmanuel was a name for Jesus used in the New Testament and translate to "God with us". This was in the Gospel of Matthew. Second adam is a name for Jesus in the blessed trinity. It means he is the Second Person, or Adam of the trinity.

Mary was in many was significant to the Gospels and church. Some dogmas are that she was conceived without original sin (Immaculate Conception) and was chosen by the Angel Gabriel to be the favored mother of the Messiah (Annunciation),which initiated the fulfillment of God's promises. Mary is also ever-virgin, although she gave birth to a child, Jesus. She is also the spiritual mother of all humans and is a model of discipleship, which is a source of guidance to following Jesus. The Catholic Church reveres her above all of the saints and her greatest title is "Mother of God", which made one of Jesus' important titles "Son of Mary".

The Baptism of Jesus is a major event in Jesus' live described in the 3 gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. His Baptism took place in the Jordan River. His cousin, St. John the Baptism baptized him. As soon as Jesus was baptised, he came up out of the water. Heaven was opened and he saw the spirit of God descending like a dove on him. Jesus got baptized to set an example for our own baptism and to become human for reconciling with us. God and each member of the trinity were present at the baptism, so God claimed Jesus as his son. The baptism also foreshadows Jesus death for the remission of our sins.

The incarnation in the prologue of John is where Jesus was made flesh. It means that Jesus Christ is both truly God and truly human. The source of the dogma of the incarnation is Divine Revelation. The dogma is a revealed teaching or set of revealed teachings of Christ proclaimed by the fullest extent of the exercise of the authority of the Church’s Magisterium. John emphasizes that at the appointed time, the only Son of the Father, the eternal Word, assumed human nature and became a man in order to reconcile with us and bring human nature to salvation.

Temptation in the Wilderness

When Jesus spent 40 days in the desert, the devil tried to tempt him by telling him to turn stones into loaves of bread, challenging him to throw himself down from the Temple's pinnacle, which endangered his life. The third temptation was about power and wealth. Satan offered Jesus the Kingdoms of the world, in return to worship him, but Jesus was committed to being faithful to God and worshiping him. Jesus’ temptations in the desert foreshadowed certain temptations he would face in his public ministry. In preaching the Gospel, his heart was undivided. He put his God the father’s will above everything as he lived a life of poverty and rejected any effort to make him a worldly king
