As parents of Two young adults with Learning difficulties & Autism, i would just like to say a huge "Thank you" to all the staff at PAVS for their recent involvement over the last few months.

We cannot thank you enough, emails and any enquiries are answered almost immediately, i would, in particular like to single out Sarah​ Harvey, Gwyneth Jones & Jon (Tech) for all their help recently.

 

The service you have provided has been second to none, young adults with Learning issues face multiple problems mixing with peers and can feel very isolated at times, anything that can improve this has to be a bonus in my veiw, to see your child dancing & having fun with a simple device like an echo dot & laughing is priceless..

Attendees appreciated direct contact with the presenters and very positive feedback suggested that these online sessions worked well.

Paperwork and promotion of the Carers Support Innovation Fund and a new Care Home Fund were underway by the end of 2020.
 

During the Report period PAVS managed delivery of funds on behalf of South Hook LNG Community Fund, Bluestone Community Foundation, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority and West Wales Care Partnership.

This resulted in distribution of £583,262 to Pembrokeshire groups

Regional Lead body for the Care Homes Fund for west Wales of £497,658 of funding to Care Homes across the region. 

Continued to contribute to the promotion and continuous provision of Funding Wales funding search facility.

The first round of the Supporting Community Action Fund (SCAF) launched in April 2020: Main and Micro funds - offering ‘keeping going’ support. Meanwhile, successful applicants received their Pitch Your Project funding. The innovative applicant presentations had taken place days before the Coronavirus lockdown. 

The Micro fund tied into the Pembrokeshire Community Support Network (PCSN) to ensure accountability, with the first payments being made to support voluntary community support by May. The Main fund attracted more than 50 applications and funding was distributed quickly. 

The PAVS Funding Information Zooms started in May 2020 covering a range of national and local funds with important information sharing a question time and information. These continued throughout the period, along with a funding slot at the regular Community Building Forum online sessions. 

The Funding Wales website included a list of Covid 19 support funds which was constantly used and useful. 

The first online South Hook LNG Panel meeting took place through online sessions. This continued for the rest of the Report period for this Fund and for the Bluestone Community Fund.
