Henry the hedgehog was sitting peacefully beside a warm, sunlit rock. The gentle rays of sunlight wrapped around her like a cozy blanket.  She swayed slowly to the natural rhythm of the wind, the rustling leaves, the whispering breeze, and the distant chirping of birds.

She rubbed her tiny body against the rock, exploring her surroundings with curious delight. Everything felt in harmony. The world was calm, and Henry was completely connected to it heart, body, and soul.

But suddenly, the serenity shattered.

VROOOOM!
A loud, jarring noise from a nearby motorbike tore through the air like thunder. Henry froze. Her heart began pounding like a drum. The peace she felt just seconds ago vanished in an instant.

"Ugh... that’s awful," Henry mumbled, flattening her ears. "Our world needs to be pollution-free... free from noise like that."

She stared at the spot where the motorbike had roared past and sighed. "What can we do?" she whispered.

Henry sat in silence for a moment, diving deep into thought. Then, her eyes lit up.

"I’ve got it!" she said, her voice rising with excitement. "The way I was connected to nature just now. That’s the answer. Through music... through the sounds of the nature. Nature’s music can remind us how beautiful silence and harmony can be. Maybe it can even heal us."

With newfound inspiration, Henry began to sing softly:

"Heal the world... make it a better place..."
(she sang the familiar melody of Michael Jackson’s song, her tiny voice full of hope.)

And as her voice floated into the forest, carried gently by the wind, even the birds seemed to join in. It was a small song—but it was the beginning of something big.

But suddenly, a loud motorbike breaks the peace. Henry gets scared—her heart pounds, and she pulls away. This shows how loud noise can cause stress and interrupt the benefits of being in nature.

Research shows this kind of noise can also affect children’s health and learning (Basner et al., 2014).

Henry then asks, “What can we do?” Instead of staying scared, she listens to nature again and sings a healing song. This reflects an Indigenous idea called Dadirri—a deep, respectful way of listening to the land and to each other. Henry’s response shows how nature and music can help us calm down, reflect, and connect again.

The story supports the idea that playing in nature helps children grow in many ways—emotionally, physically, and mentally (Wilson, 2007; Brooker et al., 2014). When Henry sings “Heal the world,” she turns a bad moment into something positive and creative. Music, as Victor Wooten (2013) says, is more than sound—it’s a way to connect and express feelings.

The story also invites readers to think about their own lives. Many of us are distracted by stress, noise, or screens. But like Henry, we can find peace and learning in nature—by simply listening, observing, and being present.

I used a lot of descriptive words in my creative drama to help the audience visualize the scenes more easily. For example, I included phrases like “jarred sound” and “pounding heartbeat like a drum” to create strong images. I also used the motorbike sound “Vrooom” in a simple and straightforward way to bring the moment to life.
