mushrooms in ramen

So my project is about mushrooms but i am doing different aspects of mushrooms such as edible, poisonous, trippy drawings of mushrooms and many more, but for this project i did draw mushrooms in ramen to show that u can eat mushrooms, the mushroom that i drew in the ramen is called a portobello mushrooms. For my medium i used pencil and prismacolor, but for my next project i wanna start using more of watercolor.

Dark Red (Roses)

My first piece for my AP portfolio is based off one of my favorite songs, Dark Red, by Steve Lacy (my favorite artist).Whenever I listen to the song this is kind of what I envision in my head.Plus I love drawing flowers and roses were the perfect match for the vibe of the song.But so far it is going along well and I'm happy with the results.

Seven Deadly Sins - Pride

For this first piece, I chose to draw what I think "Pride" looks like. Pride when it comes to the seven deadly sins, is having an excessive amount of love for yourself and feeling like you mean or are worth more than others or that you are more powerful than others. So, in this piece, I decided to take inspiration from one of my favorite cartoons as a kid: The Powerpuff Girls. I have my little Powerpuff being hypnotized by an evil looking eye that makes my Powerpuff feel very powerful and prideful and very self obsessed. We might be seeing this Powerpuff in a later project of mine very soon, but for now this is what I have worked on so far. I plan to add backgrounds and more COLOR to it, so stay tuned.

The artwork above is a portrait of my close friend Aysia'h. I quite enjoyed the process of drawing her and figuring out every aspect of it. The circle of 3 colors behind her head represents an album cover from her favorite music artist, the spikes represent the concept of her favorite song, voodoo in my blood's meaning, basically how she is happy yet haunted by past trauma, the lipstick and hand represent me and how we bond, and the orange and blue background is her favorite color combo. The title of this art piece is inspired by how little we hang out yet how close we are nevertheless.

Since the last update, I have created a bench that my Powerpuff character sits on and for the background, I am in the process of creating a sunset to really sell this really bright and fun look only for there to be a mysterious dark side to this piece. I also colored in the evil eye and I drew squiggles that represent my Powerpuff being tempted by this evil eye.

So far I have about 3/4 of my drawing done.For this piece in particular I have had to blend a lot more colors together in order to get the shading just right.I have always used a lot of color, but it's more challenging when the whole piece is the same color.So its helped me realize just how much value and color play into making art.

For my first piece, I'm definitely experimenting a lot with my use of watercolor in terms of mixing colors to achieve the specific shade and tone of color I want, as well as playing around with the amount of water I use to change the concentration of pigment that actually ends up on the watercolor paper. For example, I had to play around a lot with browns and purples to get a not-so-orangey brown for Archie's fur (see next post for color swatches)I definitely have to be careful with which colors are painted on first since it's very hard to undo any dark brushstrokes. I definitely think my next step should be adding the natural lighting from the window since that will be hard to add on later. I also played around a lot with reds and browns to get the perfect brick color for the bedroom wall to give the apartment that Brooklyn, New York feel (see next post for swatches).

Whale Bowl (progress)

I've been having a hard time making a good water layer for my fishbowl because the colors are very similar and it is hard to tell where the bowl ends and when the water starts. At first I had the water be made of magazine scraps but replaced it with this light blue paper covered in cyan, royal blue, and green stamps. Hopefully it will fit in with the rest that I will add if not I will have to find a different way of showing water.

At the moment I'm working on the hands, and as you can see, I discarded the blue that initially colored half her face. The cool blue clashed with the warm purple too harshly, and so I'm aiming to only use purples. I enjoy how it looks now than it did prior, and I hope to be finished with the hand and body by the end of the next week.

I have finished my center focus for my 2nd art piece. Since my last post I have: Pleated my ribbon using staples, painted my lace overlay for the heart, painted my lace trim red, pleated said trim also using staples, and have attached everything together. I finished my first project where I used prisma color as well as colored pencils, and a sharpie. From my last post, I continued to work on the inside of the eye and attempted to add more detail into the outside of the eye as well. Throughout this process it was challenging because I had to find the right colors so that they could stand out due to using black paper. I enjoyed this process and hope to use what I have learned from my new attempt of having a mix of Prisma color and color pencils and the effects sharpie can help with eyebrows.

I continued the theme of my Powerpuff character being tempted by something evil, with this evil eye. The theme is boosted by the bright and sunny background of the sun and sky. Together, they makes the colors really pop out, which distracts you from realizing what you're actually looking at.

Here is my completed piece.I added both chalk pastels in the back and made a border using torn up black paper.I created layers on top of the borders as well.And once again, I based this piece of the song Dark Red (by Steve Lacy).In his song he repeats the words only you towards the person he loves.But instead of drawing focus on a person I wanted to do it with red Roses so that was my inspo.Overall I really like the way this piece came out.

This is my second for my first piece of my AP Art 2D portfolio. Here I am being really tedious with my testing with how the lighting coming in from the window will affect the surrounding background of my piece. Another challenge I am facing with my piece is the color scheme. I fear that my boy Archie has a bland taste in room decor and bedding. But I hope that after I am satisfied with the approach I make in regards to the lighting, things will run more smoothly and faster than the current pace I am working in. I also keep smearing wet watercolor with the palm of my hand as I paint different parts of my piece, so I may have to be more intentional about working my way down to avoid that.

Here I tested out the methods of how I want the lighting to land on my piece. I tested different concentrations and even played with the value of the floorboards as they approach the lighting to see which ones works best. I will likely do a cross between the very top and very bottom attempts that I made.

Whale Bowl progress

I added the floor of the bowl. It is made out of a bunch of hole punched hearts that took me almost 3 classes to get all the hearts I needed. I used some mounting spray to glue them on; I wanted them to fall naturally to look more organic. I enjoyed that the gravile floor sticks out naturally and has a nice 3d effect. I will be working on the whale; I plan to make it with watercolor.

At first, I wasn't too proud of the first Acrylic base of the human heart. It was too light and matte. And I completely flipped it around by experimenting.

I knew what I wanted, so I patted the wet paint on wet paint. It was mixing the reds with the brown and purple with the pinks and it was all over the place. But it somehow came out so much better than ever. This was my first time I colored a human heart with acrylic paints and I'm proud of the results.

The revision improved the whole piece way better. I'm committed to making a contrasting piece, so the texture and color of the heart really emphasizes the goal of my composition

While I brainstorm ideas to finish off my first piece, I have begun working on the main element of my second piece. The first flower I made (left) wasn't as big as I wanted. Also I wanted a lighter red/pink for it as well. The right flower is the one I'm currently cutting out and am going to touch up. Both were painted using watercolor.

I've finished coloring and cutting out my piece, and now all that's left is to create the bird cage. I want it to look old and spent, so I'm using wire benders and cutters to manually chip at them. I've never worked with wire, so I'm learning as I go.

I am starting the second piece of my portfolio. I am currently sketching out the second scene to Archie's day where he will be rushing out of his red-brick Brooklyn apartment as he is late for his office job. I am again using mixed media paper and watercolor, but I also really want to incorporate wax pastels to add layers of colors that would otherwise be hard to do with watercolor, since adding more water to dry paint will cause blending. I ran into this problem with my first piece, and I regret not using wax pastel over watercolor sooner. For this piece, I also had to play around with the perspective and taking into account how the stairs(depicted above) should be drawn according to the perspective I am drawing from. I first attempted to draw everything freehand, as I am in denial with the fact that I cannot draw a straight line on my own for the life of me. So, with the help of a ruler, I was able to finally get the stairs to actually look stair-like.

New material I used was twine for the net on the whale. I tested out different material of twine and chose this one because it was the right thickness. I tested out different products to glue it down. I used hot glue, Elmer's, and mod podge. The mod podge dries clear and was perfect consistency to hold the twine to the paper. The hot glue was too thick and the Elmer's wasn't sticking the twine to the paper.

Here is my second piece that will be named Helmet, based off the song by Steve Lacy also named Helmet.I made this heart through cutting out and pasting pieces from multiple magazines.I really wanted to make sure that the heart didn't look too simple. So I looked through a total of 6 different magazines and gathered as many textures and shades of red I could find. And for the arteries I actually used lipstick advertisements.Mainly to display the different shapes and shadows. Next I will cut it out and start designing the helmet that will go over.

Taking a break from previous piece because i was stuck and struggling. I found a piece I was working on last year and decided to try to add it to my sustain investigation. This is a sketch I did to plan how I want to fit this piece into my theme, its one of my favorite artist and I'm focusing on the idea of what being a musician means to people. I did some research on what writing/composing meant to Elliott smith and learned that he uses music as a way to translate his personal pain, to something understandable. In this piece I'm planning to add a background of a black & white brick wall to symbolize the negativity and struggles in his life. And one of his most famous album (figure 8) will be the only thing in color, to demonstrate that his music is powerful and something positive. I plan to add more things along the way to make this piece fit more into my theme.

I'm finishing up this piece. I just need to add the table and the whale of course but other than that I will be done. I added a couple of details to the bowl with a couple of plants and a treasure chest. I recyceld an old canvas and wrapped it in orange fabric to bring a contrast to the bowl.

I am currently working on my second project and how I would like the inside to look. I want it to be similar to my last piece yet different, I guess really bringing in the jellyfish again to re-show it's meaning in a different perspective. Today I am finally completing this by putting it all together. Instead of hotglueing it on to the canvas I will be sewing it on so it really sticks unlike the hot glue which at times can be pretty unreliable.

This is a Prisma colored pencil portrait of my mother, I haven't talked to or seen her in a while so it is a bit weird for me to draw her but overall I like this piece. The birds symbolize recovery which is the concept I chose for my mom since she is always working hard to overcome issues in her life. I sketched her out before starting on the finished piece quite a few times and it got a little frustrating but I like how she turned out and I also like the background which is her favorite color.

im starting to narrow down the idea of both pieces. One of the will be colourful inside of the bounce house while the other one will be the actual party and it wont be as colourful at the actual party. there will be a lot of symbolism in both art pieces and they will take me a long time. I think I will use acrylics and color pencil for the bounce castle but for the outside I will use color pencils and maybe charcoal.

For my next piece, I'm working on a parallel for a piece for my portfolio. The piece it is meant to parallel is supposed to represent your true feelings of being trapped; therefore, this piece is supposed to represent the same subject opening her heart, with butterflies emerging. I'm aiming for a serene, soothing tone, as she's supposed to be freed. I'm using oranges and yellows, and so far I'm not too happy with the shape of her face, but I'll work on it as I go.

I added details to the turtle in my sketch as an outline when I paint so its easier to see the turtles neck wrinkles. I still need to work on the stomach of the turtle and make the line between the wrinkles and stomach less harsh. I'm going to add plastic rings on the fin of the turtle as my physical components that shows the reason why green turtles are in danger. I experimented a bit with shapes on the fins. I realized I might need to add more wrinkles on the underside of the fin so it doesn't look to similar to the other side of the fin.

This is my updated sketch for my second piece that features my boi Archie running out of his apartment, rushing to get to work. After watching Mrs. Wilde's lecture on one, two, and three-point perspective, I decided to try to incorporate one-point perspective into the architecture that is going on in the background of this piece. I ended up having to redraw the staircase once again, but I am a lot happier with how they turned out this time around. I like that the piece looks more put together and connected as it has a single point that the rest of the piece follows and focuses on. I like that I can shift the focus onto a specific point in a way that emphasizes Archie.

An Apprentice Perspective

For this piece I started out with a different idea than how it looks now, but I love how it turned out. It is an illustration of how I see my art teacher. The concept is mentorship and the band tied to it is "Dance Gavin Dance" which I conveyed through the background. Most of the band's album covers show a focal subject in the center and a bunch of little colorful characters around it, hence the portrait in the middle and the multi-color background with stick figure animals. I feel like this is the most accurate piece compared to the reference photo I have created so far.

This week I revisited some watercolor techniques that I learned last year in Art I and II like dry flat washing, where I layed down background colors for the brick walls that I then later went over with a smaller squared brush to create the bricks. The flat wash made it much, much easier to create the look of cement in between each brick. I also decided to focus on the big picture first before worrying about the fine details, which is why I'm focusing more on painting in the background this time around and leaving details like Archie and the car that's in the foreground for later. I'm happy with my progress so far and I am definitely moving faster than I was with my first piece. I hope to be completely done with this by next week before we leave for Thanksgiving break.

This week I tried wet on wet technique with acrylic paint even though it commonly used with watercolor paint. I tested out different shades of blue and green to make a aqua color. I made the bottom of the canvas a darker blue because its going to the surface and the water gets more clearer as you go up. I discovered that it was successful but only on a canvas, I tried on paper and it was too wet the paper started to peel. You need a lot of water to get acrylic paint to move and almost act like watercolor but just more pigmented.

After 2 months, I am finally officially done with my second piece. This time around I focused on filling in as much background color as I could before focusing on the smaller, finer details of my piece, which honestly helped me out a lot to get real progress. As I was removing the tape border from my painting I realized I had originally sketched across the entire page, before I taped off the border, so I was met with pencil sketches along the border. Instead of erasing it, I decided it would make a nice contrast, so I traced it with a .02 micron pen to have a cool, black and white border that extended my painting. Even though it was by complete accident, it is my favorite part of my piece and I want to incorporate something like it in my next one. I definitely want to speed up my pace even more for my next piece so that I can have most of it done before we leave for Christmas break.

A Prisoner of Your Own Making

I finally finished my first and possibly my main piece. I changed the title of the piece, and after sewing, matting, and cutting, I finished it. I sewed wire through the black mat to hold the wire in place, and I'm proud of the vision I accomplished. I used purples to embody a sense of fear and dread within the piece, the chipped wires of the piece revealing that the structure of the bird cage is quite weak, embodying the situation she finds herself trapped in being easy to escape from. Whether she's choosing to stay or is ignorant to the flaws of her situation is unknown, but if one thing is certain-- it's that she's in a prison of her own making.

I had a bit of an energy burst late into the night after watching the first two episodes of Breaking Bad for the first time, so I decided to get ahead with my next piece for my portfolio. This is the next piece that follows the timeline of Archie's morning before work (Kinda-sorta forgot to upload Piece 3 here on Padlet since I completed last minute on the day of the final-but I will upload later) where Archie is walking down to the subway station with his tadpole boba-coffee in hand with his headphones in, ready to live his best Brooklyn, New York life *insert jazz hands*. Fun fact: Platypus ears are small slits located right behind their eyes! I found that out as I was wondering where the headphones would realistically sit on Archie's head. This time around I wanted to try a smaller, more squared piece of watercolor paper with Archie's head and bill taking up most of the space to really zoom in and create an up and close feel to the piece to capture his pure glee from his sugary, caffeinated beverage. I'm going in with very light sketching this time around to avoid having to erase my sketch lines later on as I add watercolor to the paper. (Can you tell how full of life I am now that I've spent some time away from school and had some good sleep by the amount of yapping I'm doing right now?) I am trying to make the most out of my Christmas break to make the upcoming semester as smooth as possible by finishing up scholarship applications and essays, but I wanted to take a quick creative brain break. I'm excited for the upcoming semester and ready to apply all that I've learn the past semester to stay on top of all my classes and survive until graduation. Happy New Year's y'all!

Another episode of Breaking Bad in and ready to call it a night. I played around with layering watered down paint for Archie's bill and building on top of it with darker, more saturated layers to give it a gradient look. I am again following my usual painting path of focusing on filling in the big spaces and leaving the smaller and finer details for later on in the painting process. For now, I will leave the piece to dry while I get some sleep in.

This is the final progress photo for the first piece of my portfolio. I'm honestly a bit embarrassed that it took me nearly 4 months to get this piece completed before winter break, but I'm very happy that it is finally done and off of my to-do list. This piece is called "Snooze" and it sets the scene for Archie's rushed morning as he hurries to get dressed after sleeping in for a little too long. This piece really highlighted my weaknesses, but in doing so it helped me understand what I could improve to make studio time more efficient and further understand how to manipulate watercolor through different brush strokes, paint saturation, and layering techniques. I do wish that the flooring followed a straighter path, as well as the bricks on the wall to the left, but I am making peace with how the end result came out. I will definitely apply everything I learned along the way in completing this piece in the rest of my projects for this portfolio.

In the past month I've completed my 4th piece staying within my focus of cutting paper & watercolor. I painted on 3 different layers. The blue base and leafs are on the first, the branch is on the second, and the apple is on the third. I made the border by cutting designs out of mixed media paper. My inspiration behind this piece was the story of Adam & Eve which is why the focal point of the piece is an apple & included the serpent motif in the branch & border.

I was going to experiment with Ink to show an oil spill but didn't want it to be a contrast of texture for the background with acrylic. So I was going to paint the water with watercolor and black ink. Then paint the Seahorse with acrylic to make it stand out. But I need to prime the background for watercolor and ink with a gesso. But unable to find the gesso so I will have to rethink which materials I'm going to use.

I experimented with gesso as a primer for the water color it was giving me a hard time. The more paint you add the more it just comes off. So I will try to move on the ink for the background and fix the problems with the background. I'm moving in to the body of the Sea Horse with Acrylic.

I've finally finished my sketch for my fifth piece and started filling in the background with watercolor. I did forget to tape my paper off to create a border and prevent the paper from winkling from the paint, but I am experimenting with solely adding weight on top of my piece while it dries to see how effective it is at keeping my paper flat. I am also experimenting with oil pastels for this piece in order to create a zooming effect for the windows to resemble the quick-passing window background that one would see when riding a fast subway train (see next post).

Bad Habits Finished Piece

Here is the completed version of my piece named after the song Bad Habit by Steve Lacy. I feel really happy with this piece and I enjoyed the process of cutting and pasting magazine clippings and mixing it with my normal drawings. This piece is meant to symbolize how time passes as you are on your phone and it slowly starts to take over. And is also my personal bad habit ,which is also a problem for many many others.

Piece 5: Experimentation 1.1

For the background of the windows in this piece, I want to create a "zooming by" effect to really capture the movement of a subway train. I first tried using watercolor through wet-on-wet, dry-on-wet, and dry brush techniques to try to achieve streaky lines, but to no avail. I'm sure this look can be achieved through watercolor, but it just was not coming to me, so I decided to use oil pastels instead (see next post).

Since watercolor was not working in my favor, I decided to create the streaky look through oil pastels. I am way more satisfied with how the effect came out using pastels. I first tried to simply lay down different scribbles of colored pastels and blend them with a white pastel, which was better than any of my watercolor experimentation, but not exactly what I was looking for. After playing around with the layering, I found that layering the base with white pastel, and creating straight lines of color, and finally blending them with more white pastel on top, worked the best, which can be seen in the very bottom.

I started coloring and putting the peices together. I like how its turning out but I forgot that I had to earse my guide lines before painting the sky; I will probably end up painting overy it with acritlc paint but I really wanted to use a salt effect with watercolor in over to put clouds but I'll be fine. I also lost one of my dog house pieces so I had to re make it.

It is a portrait of my friend daniela which I met in art class on a field trip and it's meaning is self-love, inspired by our talks, which is symbolized by the crown and wording. This is my 5th piece named and based off the song Give You the World by Steve Lacy. I am very happy with the final product. I wanted it to seem as if someone was grabbing the earth for someone as a gift. I also wanted it to seem as if the world was spinning/in motion.

I went over the blue with acrylic and still need to add touch ups on the blue. I Incorporated the ink to represent the oil at the bottom. I wanted to have a contrast of colors in the background with the Dwarf Seahorse. I also made him pregnant so I extended his belly. I learned that I do not like the way the watercolor on gesso is and will not try again.

I focused on adding a lot of color through the city platypus' clothing and outfits to contrast the dull, dead-looking background of the subway interior. Adding bright colors definitely made me love this piece even more. I've noticed that in some past pieces, my only regret was not adding livelier colors to really capture the playfulness of my sustained investigation. I am almost done with this piece, the only last big steps left for me to do are to use the oil pastels to create that zooming-by effect on the windows before I outline it all with a fine point pen to give it a cartoony look.

I am using a white charcoal pencil with the graphite to make the white parts stand out. It does not blend well with the graphite obviously, but it does make a good contrast.

I started working on my 4th piece. I cut out multiple panals the same size and then painted some a different color and cut out the shapes I needed of it. I then hot glued them together. I realized that my past pieces have been too big and that's why I'm barely on my 4th so for this one I plan to keep it small. Im really like how its coming out. I hope to maybe finish it this week. Piece : Final ("Zoom")

This is by far one of my favorite pieces so far. I went into this piece wanting to incorporate more color, and I think I completed my goal. My goal with this piece was to also create a zooming by effect in the subway windows to simulate the feeling of a fast moving subway train. To achieve this, I used a separate piece of pastel paper and used blended streaky lines using various shades of blue, purple, pink, and yellow. I then used an X-acto knife to cut out the windows and glued the strip of pastel paper onto the back of my piece. I was originally going to use paper from my sketchbook, but it made the pastel colors look dull, so I opted for pastel paper. Another reason why I decided to lay the oil pastels on a separate sheet of paper was because I was worried that I would accidentally get oil pastel over the areas that I already painted with watercolor, as I knew it would be difficult to remove the mistake and that I would be unable to paint over it since oil and water don't mix.

I am trying something pretty new with this piece, I am using the stippling technique and it's working out pretty good so far but I'm still deciding if I like it or not. The concept I am associating with my best friend is loyalty which is represented by the puppy in the bottom right which is her actual dog. I sort of waited to do this piece close to last because she is very important to me and I want to do her beauty and personality justice.

I finished my Sea Horse piece I named it Black Sea because of the oil pollution that has made it so dark. But I made the Seahorse bright so it's an innocent facial expression to appeal to emotion. I realized the Gesso was too long of a process and hard to deal with I won't be trying again.

For the 6th piece I decided to add some depth to it by using some elements of one-point perspective, especially when drawing and painting out the elevator. Although it was a very simple change, I like how the use of depth places emphasis on Archie and almost makes viewers feel like they're stepping inside of the elevator with him as he checks his watch to see how much time he has left before he is officially late for work. I am also going to play around with painting light, which is something that I am not entirely familiar with, for the elevator lights as they gleam down over Archie. To do this, I am going to approach it similarly as I would do with any type of shading: painting the lighter values first and then adding layers of darker hues to make the lights seem as they are glowing and radiating out from their bulbs. I am happy with the progress I've made so far, it's definitely one of the faster pieces that I've made.

Im working on the outline and working on the highlights of the hanging lights. Im using the feedback from the VASE judge and erasing any of the pencil markings and after using watercolor, I will use fine line marker and then I will use prisma color to go over the shadows.

This is my 6th peice based off the song 3005 by Childish Gambino. I have now added the background which is meant to resemble the lights from a carnival. The reason why I choose this is because in the music video Childish Gambino is riding a Ferris Wheel and the camera towards the end pans out and all you see is the glimmer of the lights of the surrounding rides.

This is one of my favorite pieces in terms of the overall composition. My little brother is 9 years old and the confetti in his hair as well as the light colorful theme represents his innocence. He doesn't necessarily have a favorite artist but he loves listening to 90's rock (just like me) thus the cassette tape background. The shirt he is wearing is not only his favorite color but it also resembles his school uniform. Finally, the title, "Becoming" is supposed to mean that as he grows older he will become less and less innocent and yet more and more defined as a person.

I added some texture on the body of the vaquita to show like burn marks from the net in the background. I'm going to experiment on a separate piece of paper with different mediums to add a more realistic coloring on the marks. I'm going to revise the background because as of right now it's a purple net but I'm going to change it to light yellow and white to be more accurate to a gillnet.

I finished this piece a while ago but I like the color variations and I tried to incorporate for the couch to look as if it had parts that were torn using foil flakes. The theme of this piece is going through a photo album and reminiscing the memories, yet they both have different memories and perspectives as to how they interpret the pictures in the album. Additionally, the background symbolizes the way both worlds collaborate with each other despite being a contrast to each other. The couch then also represents an old couch that throughout time has slowly worn out. From once a beautiful colorful couch, to now having some tears here and there, reminding us that as we grow up, we begin to have some wounds that follow us for a long time. Therefore, in the window we see the jellyfish looking out and the jellyfish being much bigger and older representing how our kid self is now also grown up and has grown up to see us grow and follows us through seemingly to remind us that it is always there no matter what.

One of my main challenges was mainly getting down the details which were a bit hard but nevertheless, I still took the challenge to do so. I still need to add small details to the sides of the painting overall interior.

Piece 4 (Progress/Almost finished)

I finished adding the small details and working a bit more with making parts more colorful. Overally, I believe I am done with it but will still be adding some other small details. Since I am about finished the theme of this piece showcases 2 different sides of the world, one of the past the other of the present. This shows how our present selves grow from the "mud" of our past. And then on top, we see the soft pink lotus flower that shows the beauty of who we are now. Then we see the dark section below that holds the objects that became a fond memory like the clock for time, a locked diary for secrets, and a baby jellyfish for childhood vulnerability. Lastly I added a single stem where it connects to these buried items to the flower above that shoes how even as we bloom and grow into something beautiful, we remain physically and emotionally tied to our origins.

In this piece I tried new things that would enhance the way the color scheme looks inside of the heart and the key that connects with it. The external was also a bit of a challenge but i like the way it came out. Nevertheless, I still need to fix the key and additional small details but overall it is about done soon.
