You never know what is going to happen, so you always have to thankful for what you have. Girsha never knew he was going to be turned into a teapot. He was trapped and just sat on a window for 50 years. He was never able to live the full life he wanted. he never got to fly, go to the forest, or even see his mother again. He doesn´t  even know if his mother is alive. Once he  was no longer in a tea pot he was able to live his life to the fullest.  He met other dragons and met Maggie. Maggie also  lost her mother. She had no friends, but she had an amazing education and she is grateful for that. My text evidence is that in the book Grisha and some other dragons were wondering where the other dragons went. But after about a year of wondering and feeling sad they decided that it is better to just think about the good things in life. Another theme is that everybody is different and being different is not a bad thing. My evidence is that in the story whenever Maggie tries to make friends people call her weird. But when she meets Grisha they get along well.
