(Justin) Whenever I think of a stereotype I think of a negative thing that the certain thing is known for but in reality can be very different. Whenever it come to stereotypes I feel like people shouldn't stereotype one person just because of the place they live or cause of the school they go to. If you're going to judge someone you have to know them first. I don't think I've ever been stereotyped before but I know the stereotypes that are made towards people of my ethnicity. I think that the actions I do can form a type of stereotype that can be seen in many ways but I don't think that what I do leaves of any negative beliefs about or I hope so at least. But I want to be seen as positive person and if I can achieve that I will be proud that I am seen in that way.

when I hear "stereotype" its really just generalizing and assuming a certain race or group of people. I don't care if you stereotype me honestly, words without reason are empty to me. I have been stereotyped before as someone whos always rushing, very messy and cant organize for anything, I'm from NY so that's a common stereotype. I'm not representing a stereotype because I cant relate to 99% of them. I've never cared for words honestly, just mean what you and nothing happens. Jayro M~

Well I always just took stereotypes as jokes... nothing personal. Have you been stereotyped before? I don't really know, I mean when Trump was running for president my friends would joke around saying I'd vote for Trump since I'm white. I don't think I display any white stereotypes since I'm so anti social and barely do anything that would be stereoscopic for a white person but hey maybe the people close to me could think of some for me.

Nadielis- What comes to mind when I think of the word stereotype is judging someone based on where they came from or how they talk/dress/etc. When people stereotype others it makes me upset because they are labeling them based on how they look or act and assuming they know a lot about the person just because they have heard of the place they are from or have heard of their culture. I would say that some of my actions do portray a stereotype. Many people say that Hispanics, especially Cubans are very loud people and I do agree that sometimes when we get very excited or we are in a crowd of people that we know we speak animatedly. I do not have a issue with this stereotype, since it necessarily is not a bad thing and it is just us having fun.

What i feel about the word is almost nothing like it can be used as a joke or an insult so there isn't that much to react to it. Like I been stereotyped before because i'm Hispanic so they just blurt out eat your tacos so then I just say something back that's stereotypical back to them. They don't get to know you, the judge based on your race. Stereotypes to me aren't the best at all. I find it stupid how some people are quick to judge. Some people don't take it seriously but it's messed up if you do see stereotypes as if they were facts. Personally, I don't think I've been stereotyped and if I was, I didn't care. I don't think my personality really ties into much stereotypes. I also don't think anyone's personality can tie to a stereotype.

Victoria) What comes to my mind when I hear the word stereotype is people getting judged by something they've heard or seen about there certain type of color. looks and race. Personally I think that everyone at one points has stereotyped other people due to their looks skin color, race and many other things. I think that stereotyping one another is wrong because you build up a certain incorrect thought about some one but you already . Yeah I have been stereotyped, that just because I'm Hispanic I'm Mexican or we like tacos. I don't think the way I am is something that people could make a judgement without knowing who I .

It doesn't really bothers me at all but I feel bad for those who is being judged from people who don't know where they coming from. I was stereotype because I was born in Iraq and raised in Syria and I've been judged as a terrorist because I was a Muslim. I am proud of what I'm and it makes me who I am today.

Alivera B: What comes to my mind when i hear the word stereotype is like you're judging another person. I feel offended when someone gives me a stereotype, it makes me argue. I've been stereotype before, like one day i was talking to this boy and he asked me out of nowhere saying "are you Black American", i said "no i'm African, not all Africans has to have an accent". That day i knew he learned something new about some Africans. I really don't know if my personality or actions illustrate a particular stereotype and if it did, i don't think i would be proud of it but i would be glad to hear it cause then i would be able to prove them wrong. AMEN

Sofia Chan:
When I hear the word stereotype, I think about the other person being narrow minded and ignorant. It makes me feel scared because people are so quick to believe certain things and they're capable of doing horrible things to a group of people. I have been stereotyped because I speak Spanish and get asked if I'm Mexican. I am not Mexican, and my parents are not from Mexico. For me, I am naturally a loud person and most people stereotype Hispanic people to be loud. Not all of us are loud, it's just who I am as an individual. I am proud of my outgoing personality, regardless if I fit in the loud

When I hear the word " stereotype " I think of everyone being labeled by their looks and skin color. It makes me feel a little angry because everyone is different and is their own person and should not be labeled in any type of way especially by their race. I have been stereotyped more than once and its not a good feeling because its like you know your being judged in their head as something you know your not. My actions when im angry does give me a particular stereotype and I really want to work on fixing that. But, I hate that im looked at as " ghetto " or " hood " when going out to certain places and im not proud of it but I cant get mad if someone thinks something of me even if they dont know me because I know everyone has a freedom to feel whatever way they want to feel about anyone. - Crystal Eaglin , Period:1/5

I don't know if i have been stereotype but i know of some towards Hispanics. My friends always tell me before they start talking to me they always thought i was mean and that i didn't like people but they where wrong because im the sweetest girl ever .
