I learned how to change an active sentence into a passive sentence. The key is to make the object of the active sentence the subject of the new passive sentence.

It was easy to understand the basic rule of swapping the subject and object. The hard part was remembering the correct form of the verb "to be" and the past participle for different tenses.

I remembered the sentence, "my mother cook fried rice" and how it becomes "The fried rice was cooks by my mother" in the passive voice. The key is using "by" to show who performed the action.

I felt a little confused at first, but after seeing several examples, I started to feel more confident with the rules. And little bit irritating.
