When Dan arrives he finds out that the warden at the old asylum has the same name as him the story is his whole journey of finding connections to him and the warden to see if that’s his real dad.

I dedicate this to my friend Jessica bc she’s adopted and she’s going through this journey of trying to find out who her birth parents are.

He’s been to a  therapist for making things up and forgetting about doing things.
     The problem is during is journey he blacks out all out the story and can’t remember things, so the antagonist is blaming him for it because he doesn’t have an alibi. The main thing the protagonist does is writes letters to dan leading him up to what happens at the end of the book.

The antagonist is hurting and threatening people to where they don’t feel safe and they start to leave the solution is they have to keep the program going but also stop the antagonist from hurting other people.
