This slideshow is going to be about Medical Treatments, the Historical significance, Cause and consequence, and Perspectives. each slide will explain these subjects and then there will be a question slide which is going to be answered. i will also be talking about blood transfusions because it would be the most known medical treatment back then and was the treatment that was changed the most from WWI to now.

Historical Significance for Medical Treatment in WWI

the historical significance of medical treatment is significant because back then medical treatments were very different from today because with blood transfusions, they didn't know about different blood types and would just put blood into people that may have not have been the right blood and could make it worse for the person. Broken bones, amputations, and ambulances were very different from now because they had less technology and less information on how to treat these certain types of medical treatments for injuries. the duration of the impact was very long for medical treatments from the start to the end of WWI with getting better technology and methods for treatments outgoing throughout the war.

Cause and Consequence for Medical Treatment in WWI

the causes and consequences for medical treatment were that when you would get hurt in the middle of the battlefield with psychology damage like shellshock, injuries like wounds, broken bones, and too much loss of blood. Blood transfusions were a very known medical treatment back then because it was known to work most of the time but some of the time it would fail and that would be a consequence and a big risk if you got a blood transfusion in WWI which could make you worse if it was the wrong blood.

Perspectives for Medical Treatment in WWI

the perspective for the people back then on medical treatments in WWI were very different from one another. Everyone had their mixed opinions on medical treatments and they would change throughout the war because people's perspectives were either good or bad because it changes what they think based on if blood transfusions worked or therapy for shellshock worked or even the way they treat broken bones and wounds because people liked that these methods would work but back then, their treatments were the best they had so most of peoples perspectives were mostly good but there were people thinking that there were better ways to treat people in the war.

My Inquiry Question

My inquiry question is what types of medical treatments changed people perspectives from this is good to this is bad. the types of medical treatments that really changed people perspectives on were therapy for shellshock and blood transfusions because with shellshock, they would be traumatized from the guns, the death and everything else in the war and people thought as shellshock as untreatable and another treatment would be blood transfusions because when people started doing blood transfusions, everyone thought that it was amazing on how they could do that but overtime alot of people thought that it would make people worse because of the wrong blood types.
