First Impression: Brittany seems adventuresome right off the bat from her profile photo. From talking with her she seems honest, thoughtful, and self-reflective.

Looking Back: I was impressed by how independent she is and driven to be self-sufficient. She knows how to pursue her own joy and live in the moment. I really appreciate how she values her relationship with her mom.

Vision: I'm inspired by her adventuresome and spontaneous spirit (desire to move to london, learn more languages, open her own restaurant, work in fashion). I appreciate how much of a dreamer she is and open-minded to what the world and the future may have in store. I found her leadership statement very selfless and focused on motivating and supporting others.

Brittany, my first impression of you was that you were confident, optimistic and friendly, and that you valued time with your family. I was surprised to hear that you had spent considerable time in Mexico growing up but it made sense once you told us your story and how much you value community and building community and the values your mom instilled in you. Throughout the rest of the quarter and especially during the vision exercise it was clear that you were extremely creative - from wanting to go to cooking school, passion for art, travelling and learning romance languages. I was inspired by your vision statement and how you chose to focus on stability and ensuring how you would ensure stability is provided to your teammates. A basic need that is often ignored.

Throughout the class - right from first impressions to the vision exercise - I have been inspired by the wide variety and the richness of experiences that you want for yourself.
I think you put a lot of effort into seeking meaning for yourself and take active steps towards finding that meaning and towards creating the life you want for yourself - something I want to learn to do
I also admire how you are honest, and upfront about the things you don’t know or are struggling with.
Ingredient: I chose garlic for you. Like a garlic brings richness and depth so many different dishes and cuisines, you apply yourself to so many different experiences, all the while remaining authentically and recognizably yourself.

First Impressions: Introspective, seems really focused and knows what she wants to do—very driven. Focused on family and building close relationships.
Looking Back: So resilient and strong—wants to be like her mom. Focusing on herself this year, trying to figure out what SHE wants, which is so admirable and brave. Inspires me to do the same for myself.

Vision:Struggles to be specific with these exercises—but I know she will do whatever she puts her mind to. Wants a family, loves interior design and fashion. Loves to cook, wants to own a restaurant one day—this is so cool! I want to go to one of her SGDs. Really cool and different interests.

Adventurous, Calm, Family-Oriented

Brittany, from the start, you came across as someone who is calm and grounded, with a strong sense of family. Your love for trying new cuisines and going to concerts is something we definitely have in common—it’s always fun to explore new experiences!
What really inspired me during your "Looking Back" exercise was the impact your mom has had on you. She sounds like an incredibly strong person, and it’s clear she’s been a big influence in shaping your mental strength. I admire the way you draw from that strength and resilience in your own life.

First impressions: My first impression was that you are someone who is driven, and care about family. And that you prefer multitasking.

It was also nice to see you in your comfort zone with Bobby as a friend in class.

Looking back: I was really moved by your sharing your experience of being from dual cultures - and how its difficult to feel belonging. I really resonated with your journey of being in a patriarchal dynamic at home and your value of being financial independent. I also appreciated your vulnerability in sharing how you dealing with finding clarity for what you want to do.

Future: I was pleasantly surprised to see your multiple interests - in languages, fashion, restaurants and about living in London. I felt like there was a whole side of you that I barely knew. It was interesting, that the vision was generic and specific at the same time. I feel like you are a very dynamic and interesting person, strong fundamentally with a little bit of chaos, and deeply loving & caring of your family and close ones.

First impression: You came across as so confident and warm, which immediately stood out. At the same time, there was a bit of distance, like it might take some effort to really get to know you, but that made me more curious to learn more about you.

From you looking back exercise, I learned that you are indeed a very warm person that has some duality in, from both your parents. it was very interesting to learn how that is demonstrates in your life and how you are able to balance those two ends. You’re so multifaceted and deeply in tune with yourself, it’s super inspiring to see.

Other impressions: Although I wasn’t there when you shared your vision, it’s clear to me that you’re someone who truly wants to make the most of what life has to offer. You seem deeply committed to staying true to yourself and listening to what you genuinely want. I think it takes a lot of effort and self-awareness to be so reflective, and I really admire and appreciate that about you.

Vision

Your vision of a farm-to-table restaurant dream, elements of London, traveling, dogs, outdoor activities, family, the fashion industry, and doing your own interior decorations like your parents did is something I find very inspiring.
