Enrolment: last week I came to college to enrol.
Communication: I sat and talked to my course leader and shared my GCSE results with them and then we went through a bunch of questions so they knew more about me before I started college. It developed my communication skills as I had to talk to people in order to be in the right place and also help me to make new friends

When I first started college i needed to communicate with my tutors and other people in my course in order for them to know what I am like and so we can learn more about each other so I could feel more comfortable around people.

When I did my about me PowerPoint I had to communicate with someone else in my class by presenting my PowerPoint and telling them more about myself as the PowerPoint went on. this then turned into a conversation which helped me communicate to other people more.

On our induction week at college we was put into teams with other people in our course to go around and do different activities such as volley ball which is when we had to work together as a team to win the opposite side. we also had to see which team could bat the ball the furthest and the team with most points won but we had to work as a team to male sure the other team didn't get more points than us.

In tutorial we had to work together and make a blanket with our names on and a fact about us. we had to use teamwork as we only had a limited amount of materials and we had to talk in order to make our blanket just how we was told to. we also had to use teamwork as we needed to pass things to each other to ensure that we all did something when making it.

In our induction week we also had to be put into groups and make a stable chair out of balloons this was obviously hard so we had to communicate and help each other plan and make this chair so that we won and we made the chair stay and not pop. we had to use teamwork when planning and making so that we all did the same thing instead of someone been left out.

one thing i am motivated to do is get a part time job so that i have money to do things with my friends in the summer. i also think it will be a good thing to do so that i have more work experienc.

another thing I am motivated to do is work away as a holiday rep when I leave college and the work for virgin. I'm really motivated to do this as it has always been my dream to be an air hostess and I feel like virgin is a really good opportunity to also see some nice destinations in the world.

another thing I am motivated to do is to start learning to drive and pass my test. I am really motivated to do this because i think its a good thing to do and I can start going to places with my friends and be able to drive myself. I need to be really motivated to do this as I've been putting it off for quite a bit as I'm really anxious about driving a car.

When I worked at Grind Café I had to serve customers with food and drinks and I had to clean up after them and make sure the work area is clean. I also had to wash pots and cups and make sure they was clean to use again. The thing that went well whilst I was working here was that the job was easy and I got used to and comfortable with what I was doing really quick. If I did this job again I would change the working hours as I didn't have a break and I was still quite young and it was a tiring and long shift without not being able to stop. From this work experience I achieved and gained good customer service skills and I started being more comfortable being around people I didn't know.

I also did some charity work for Barnsley hospice with the rest of my group in college. We had to think of ideas to do with Easter and work together to make sure we had all the supplies and make posters to make sure it was appealing to people so that they bought off of our stall to collect more money. This went well as we made lots of money to go towards the charity. If I did this again I would add some more ideas and sell different things so that more people came. from this experience I achieved working with other people to get better ideas and caring for other people and trying to help people that aren't doing as well in the community.

I also did a little bit of work in a local Chinese. I had to answer the phone to customers and I had to communicate with the staff in the kitchen and staff who was delivering to ensure that everyone got their right order. The thing that went well in this job is that I overcome my fear of working with new people. if I was to do this job again I would like to have more training as I didn't really get enough training or help when I started my job so I was stuck on what I had to do. from this work experience I achieved good customer service and I overcome my fears of speaking over the phone and speaking to new people.
