Now the history of how my dads family side got here was a long generation. My great great grandpa Joseph emigrated here with his family from Slovakia in Europe. He emigrated here in the year of 1910 first to Canada, then to came to the United States. My great great grandpa came to here because of a job offer that he got, it was to work at Body by Fisher. When they were trying to move here from Czechoslovakia was trying to unite with Slovakia to itself which then started the battles. There were more battles between Russia and Germany over territory. At the same time of my family trying to move in the year of 1914 World 1 war started because an assassination of Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand. Then once my family finally settled into the United States, we entered World War 1 in 1917. This happened because German submarines were targeting American merchants. And then the war ended in 1918. But there was a lot of term oil building up to World 1. This affected my family because they were new immigrates and couldn't speak English. Both my great great grandma and grandpa spoke Slovak at home. Later my great great grandpa was able to speak 2 languages. Before he learned English though great aunt and great grandfather that had to translate or them. Since my great grandpa was young when moving here, he was able to learn English before his dad.
