At the start of the novel Katniss is emotionless. I know this because in the text it mentions, ''Who cares what they do to me?" During the events that unfold, Katniss starts to catch feelings for Peeta. This can be seen in chapter 8, when it states, "Unlike the staged kisses and caresses so far, this gesture seems natural and comforting. I don't want him to stop and he doesn't." At the end of the novel Katniss had catched feelings for Peeta. This information is shown when the novel expresses "What am I supposed to do? Sit here and watch you die?" My favorite part was when Thresh killed clove by hitting her head with a rock because I was happy that the people who helped kill Rue got killed and it made me super happy because I never thought it would happen. My favorite character was Katniss because she tried her best to keep Rue alive so that she could win if Katniss got killed. If I could change one thing, it would be Peeta knowing Katniss because then the novel would be more exciting if they had to try and kill each other. One technique the author used that I really liked was foreshadowing because it gave a hint about what was going to happen next and if it was going to be exciting or not exciting. One example of this is when Peeta became an ally for the other tribute and worked with them. I would recommend this book because if you're a person who likes a lot of plot twists in a novel or a book then this is a great book for you.
