I think that this is a flaw in the system because if that candidate won the popular vote, I believe that they should win the election because the opinion of the people chose them to be the president. I believe that the electoral college is beneficial for the smaller states so that they have more of an impact on the election, but I believe that not having the electoral college would be in the country's best interest. I think this because if the popular vote comes up with a winner of the election, that candidate is the preference of the majority of people.
