         <description><![CDATA[<div>I think that the electoral college is fair and makes sense 90% of the time, but when electors vote against the wishes of the people who voted them in, it gets a bit complicated. You could try to make it a law that the electors say what the people elected them to say, but people could make the argument that the people voted that person in and they have to deal with the consequences.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I believe that the electoral college is an efficient system much of the time, but sometimes a candidate will win by a lot with the votes and not with the electoral college votes.  I think that this is a flaw in the system because if that candidate won the popular vote,  I believe that they should win the election because the opinion of the people chose them to be the president. I believe that the electoral college is beneficial for the smaller states so that they have more of an impact on the election, but I believe that not having the electoral college would be in the country's best interest. I think this because if the popular vote comes up with a winner of the election, that candidate is the preference of the majority of people. The electoral college also makes for extra counting of votes because you already have to count the popular votes, not even just the electoral votes. </div>]]></description>
