As a group we created presentations about ourselves to get to know each other a little bit more, we did this by TikToks and PowerPoints then standing in front of the rest of the class whilst we showed them. After showing the presentations people in class asked each other questions to expand on what had been shown or if they were just curious to know anything else about someone.

I think that the general presentations went well everyone was supportive of each other no one felt that they were being judged whilst standing at the front. I also think it went well because I made my presentation on time for the lesson meaning that I didn't have to feel watched because everyone else was in the same boat of feeling nervous about talking about themselves.

I think that if we did it again that we could’ve asked more questions about one another instead of just the basics and possibly put a few more things in the presentation about ourselves.

The job interview was for KFC, my current job, it was an informal interview but was still asked typical questions such as: how do you perform under pressure, if a customer had a complaint how would you deal with it? My manger and I both introduced ourselves, we told each other what we did outside of work and what what we were interested in, our hobbies and if we had future plans for careers. 

I think the job interview went great because I didn’t feel like it was interview but a friendly conversation with someone I had just met out somewhere. It think it went great also because I showed the skills and determination I had for the job in the 20 minute trial with serving customers. 

If I was to go to another job and have another interview I would like to think I could improve on my nerves though it was informal I still stuttered and was shy at parts of it but overall I don’t think I could of done anything better than I already did.

I did this in a group of three and had to create 5/6 slides talking about the different topics that we had covered. We then presented the presentation to the class as if we were delivering a lesson. 

I think that the presentation went really well considering the fact I hate standing in front of other people to deliver information, but I did achieve a distinction showing that the content I created and talked about was correct and when delivering the presentation, I made sure to make eye contact with those in the room and not look at the board too much.

The task was set for us to so that we would know where things are on the college grounds such as first aiders and the fire meeting point, we were put into random groups so that we meet new people and feel like we know at least someone within the college.

I think it went well as we managed to complete almost every task that was put on the list with the help of everyone being able to solve the riddles that would make us find the things we needed to find. As a team we communicated well allowing us to get through the hunt fairly quickly.

If we were to do a treasure hunt again i would do things a bit differently to allow us to get us through the treasure more quickly, I would split up the group and make people focus on certain bits or have a couple to focus on, then feedback to the group what we found.]]> 2022-12-01 15:21:48 UTC https://padlet.com/2341073/gb58y8413sc6dotc/wish/2405304000 2341073 https://padlet.com/2341073/gb58y8413sc6dotc/wish/2405377219 In our CSI lesson we have just started do learn about search techniques when it comes to searching for evidence in a crime scene. We then went outside to try some of those techniques in a set up crime scene outside on the grass. Two people were assigned to be the leaders of the search to make sure we were doing it right and tell us when do swap the technique.

I think it well because we worked as team to find the evidence that we needed by using the search techniques properly and precisely and the team communicated well with each other to make sure they knew that we had found evidence.

I think that in future that as a team we need to engage more with what the leaders of the group are telling to do such as staying in formation of the technique that we are following as some of the group members were not at the same pace as the others. ]]> 2022-12-01 16:06:53 UTC https://padlet.com/2341073/gb58y8413sc6dotc/wish/2405377219 2341073 https://padlet.com/2341073/gb58y8413sc6dotc/wish/2405399654 In the induction week we had to choose between activities to do, in one of those we had to take part in small group activities such as face painting, Jenga and creating a chair made out of balloons. The group started out with making the balloon chair.

Making the balloon chair went well we successfully made a chair that held a person for a whole minute without a balloon popping, we had a time limit of five minutes to create and design the chair which we completed in the time given.

I also make sure that I recycle and put the proper things in the right bin.
