The first was in the fall, where Slammin' Swain's opened for business for the first time. Students attended a coffeehouse where they presented research information about a selected poet and also recited poetry, both of their own and of their poets. Students also enjoyed tea and cookies during the presentations. This spring, after ending our study of folklore, students attended Camp Swain and roasted marshmallows over the "fire."
