         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Hook: </strong>Imagine living in the 1800's as one of the many slaves a slaveowner would own; living in terrible conditions and being beaten almost daily by a overseer. </div><div><br><strong>Background information:<br></strong>Frederick Douglass was a slave who was born in Tuckahoe, Maryland.
