Need for education(Only the basic) - Private school, or private boarding schools (Eton)- Boys more than girls Family: - Strict - Sexual subjects were taboo, but the subjects were studied in science. - Women were considered without sexual emotions. - Should be pure and innocent. - No sex / relationshops before marriage, sex only to reproduce. - Take care of house and children. - Suppresed, no personal economy / property.- But men went to prostitutes - Prostitutes were outcasts societys bottom. - Womens Rights movement (supported by John Stuart Mill) - Right to divorce, Right to custody over children.    Religion: - Scientific discoveries casued doubt beliefs about Christianity - The church lost its monopoly - People needed guidance but went to Dissenters, sceptics. Literature: - More popularity- New subjects - from poetry to novels. Art and music: - New music halls - New genres -> musicals. - Quick and easy entertaiment - popular classic music, marches, comic operas.
