In this short film we see that the dog tries to help his owner by not letting the bird steal the worms in the bucket but when his owner turns around, he just sees the dog barking because the bird flew away and he punishes the dog for barking while he was trying to fish, and after the bird came again and the owner so her, he patted her on the head, from this we can learn that sometime, we need to understand why someone is doing something, the dog barked because the bird was stealing the worms, the owner didn’t see the bird so he got angry, and when he saw the bird, the story completely changed, now he rewards the dog by patting her on the head.

Joy the dog didn’t know that the heron was taking the food for her children and when Joy saw that it was for the children he understood and gave the heron the food, and in return the heron came back with fish for Joy and his owner. There for Joy help the heron and the heron gave Joy fish back as a thank you.

Noam Halamish

In my opinion the moral of the story is

that by giving kindness to others you will be rewarded with kindness back. In the movie you can see this happening when the Heron tries to take worms from Joy and her owner Joy barks at the Heron which makes the Heron fly away. Later on you can see the Heron coming back for the worms but again she isn't able to take them. Joy later on sees the Heron trying to feed her babies with fish but the fish is too big for the baby's mouth. Joy feels bad so she takes a pile of worms and puts it on the front of the boat for the Heron to take. The Heron takes the worms and feeds her babies and comes back to reward Joy for her kindness with a pile of fish.

One of the morals I learnt from the movie is that if we care for each other and not always think about ourself then others will want to do the same to you ("kindness has a ripple effect"). Because Joy was watching Heron after barking at her and saw that he was trying to feed her babies, so he felt bad and put a bunch of worms at the edge of the boat. After the Haron fed her babies she felt grateful because of Joy so she gave him a bill full of fish.

in the short story about joy and heron we learn the emphasis on perspective and how that it can cloud you view on someone without knowing the full story behind their character at face value. And the story we saw how joys emotions and feelings about heron changed as soon as she learned why heron stole the bait. I learned from this story that you should never judge a book by its cover and just like joy and heron you need to learn and understand the true meaning and backstory about the person you are judging before.
