Why: During the Enlightenment people began to realize that they didn't have to suffer because of their leadership, they could for themselves create their own government, therefore bringing ideas such as the social contract along. What: The colonists were shot and five were killed but many injured. Its then they realized just how greedy Britain was. Where: In Boston When: The year of 1770 Why: The colonists were done being treated so unfairly by their own people, many colonists were English, so for them to be treated like a piece of property by England they revolted. What: They wanted to ensure that they could monopolize and maximize trade with the Colonies with Britain and its allies. Where: In the New World. When: Implemented in 1660. Why: Britain slowly began to lose money from places such as Spain trying to trade with British Colonies which was not really allowed unless a private partnership was available, so Britain lost money because other countries used up the resources.
