EDUF 7130 was the first class that I completed in my master's journey. I chose the assignment, "What is Learning?", because it is one of the first assignments I completed when I started my journey to obtain my master's degree. I was asked to think about what I thought learning was and what was a person experience that I had learning. This assignment forced me to think about my own idea of what learning is and how it should be achieved. I thought about different experiences I had with various teachers and professors and how I learned best in their classes. I realized that the way I learned best was based on the content that I was learning. For example, in history classes I learned better when the teachers lectured and connected the material to personal experiences or stories. In science class, mainly biology I needed a hands-on approach.

I completed this assignment while taking MSED 8434. I chose the C3 framework assignment because it helps enhance the teaching and learning of social studies. The C3 framework aids in building critical thinking skills to help prepare students to become engaged citizens. This assignment reflects my growth in learning because it allowed me to take my own lesson plan and relate each component to each standard in the C3 framework. This allowed me to learn new ways to present and teach civics, geography, economics, and history. This framework taught me and allowed me to demonstrate my growth of presenting my social studies standards in a clearer way to my students.

ESED 7331 is the class that I completed my unit analysis in. I chose my Unit Analysis assignment as one of the assignments to show my growth in teaching because it is an accurate observation of different areas of my teaching. In this assignment I had to rate myself in areas such as learning goals and criteria for success. I has to evaluate the areas that I needed to improve upon and come up with a plan of action to improve my teaching. This assignment forced me to take a hard look at most of the areas of my teaching. I realized that I struggled with having students give peer feedback. I made a plan to teach my students how to give feedback to their peers correctly and efficiently. I made a plan to model the correct way to provide feedback and how to use the feedback to improve their work. I will then allow students the opportunity to practice giving feedback and utilizing feedback to improve their own work.

I completed this assignment while taking MSED 8331. This assignment reflects on reading and writing disciplines in my content area. In the assignment Reading and Writing in the Disciplines reflection I explore instructional models that I currently use in my classroom. I explain that my classroom instructional model most closely resembles the culture of collaboration. The culture of collaboration model demonstrates my ability to set routine and provide structure to my students. I have grown and now understand the need for my students to know exactly what it expected of them academically and behaviorally. I have grown and improved my ability to set and address clear expectations and boundaries with my students.

I completed this assignment in EDUF 7134, and the name of this assignment is Bases of Assessment. With the use of this assignment, I am able to demonstrate my growth using formative and summative assessments. I evaluated my practices and uses of both formative and summative assessments and devised ways in which to improve my practices. I also demonstrate that my level of understanding on Blooms Taxonomy has increased. Using formative assessments to gage students' level of understanding I am able to adjust instruction and determine if more support is needed for students. I utilized summative assessment to track my students progress and learning. I am able to analyze and share data with my students as well as other teachers in order to create stronger and more engaging lessons. I also use formative and summative assessments to set goals for my students and track their progress.
