Other than Softball my favorite thing to do is read. I love getting lost for hours in books, I love hiding away in my favorite worlds in books, I love all the different and unique stories in books. I love the magic of books, I love the emotions I feel from books. Overall reading is one of my favorite pastimes.

As we get closer to Christmas it reminds me of my Christmas gift last year, which was a family cruise to Italy and Greece where I got to bring a friend. It was such an amazing experience and the food was to die for. My favorite parts were the ancient architecture we saw and spending time with my family. The best thing we did as a family was sailing through the crystal blue waters of the Mediterranean sea and cliff jumping together, eating tiny little sandwiches and taking pictures that will preserve such beautiful memories for a thousand lifetimes.

When I work on the WCR Christmas train, the train shakes as bad as an earthquake and it can be very hard to balance while working. But it’s all worth it to make the kids happy

No matter what is happening in life, I will always feel the most at peace and the most at home on the ball diamond. There's no better feeling than being dressed up in my sleek all black uniform, the number seventy-four printed in bright green across my back. Geared up in my scratched, dusty black catching gear, the crunch of dust underneath the metal pegs of my cleats as I squat down in the dirt. As I set up in my squat I take a deep breath, listen to the sound as I re stick the Velcro of my inner glove that protects my hand. I signal my pitcher on what to throw and the ball whistles across the diamond, the echo of the crowd and the coaches quiets to a distant drone and the moment slows as the ball flies from her hand and meets the soft brown leather of my glove. The breeze from the batter's swing is cool against my eye-black covered face. I wouldn’t choose to be anywhere else, this feeling is home.
