Chapter 1, the Odyssey. In this chapter, a messenger tells Odysseus that he and his army needs to go to war with Troy and get back Helen. Odysseus doesn't want to leave his wife (Penelope) and son (Telemachus), so Odysseus pretends to go mad and does stuff like yoking an ox to a small donkey instead of yoking two oxen to pull his plow, and instead of casting seeds into the fields he cast salt. But the messenger knew that he was pretending, to test him he took Telemachus out of Penelope's arms and placed him in front of Odysseus' plow, Odysseus turned the plow before he could hit him. And then Odysseus knew his fate was sealed and he now had to go to war and get back Helen from Troy.
