with this being the first school year of full implementation of TK, I would be curious to see the impacts on learning and development for the kiddos entering K. We collect the Early Development Index and our data this year showed a huge dip in readiness in emotional maturity and a rise in readiness in language and cognitive development. It makes me wonder about our focus and priorities with ECE and TK programs.

How do we support cross program data sharing? We do a local child care landscape analysis and getting data from licensing to analyze our local child care deserts by city has been a challenge.

The ECE field is continuing to feel the affects of teachers leaving to join the TK workforce and older children leaving for "free school" and will need support to adjust and adapt their environments, curriculum to younger children.

What does sustainability really look like as funding runs out? How do we pay staff and provide supports to the ECE field if we don't have funding?

CSPP is allowing programs to serve families via a home program. We should discuss the impacts of these families that are home and not reentering the community during this time of ICE raids. Also, there is new research around the trauma that these babies are experiencing when their families are kidnapped from them.

I'm interested in what is happening with the Quality Continuum Framework and Tier Ratings for QRIS CSPP programs. The CLASS assessment is a great tool, but shouldn't be the only factor in deciding a program's Tier Rating.

An equitable look at funding restrictions

In ECE funding often comes with restrictions that K-12 is not bound by, this further highlights the inequity for providers and beyond. When considering these parameters in the future a critical look at our why behind this, why is ECE under additional scrutiny?

Increased need for Trauma Informed Care and other services
