I do think that Chris was someone who did like being outdoors and liked having self reliance. I think he was a little crazy for going on this ambitious trip alone with no plan and no money. He lived life on the edge and very easily could've died any given day. I believe that Chris liked the idea of being challenged too much. He liked not knowing where his next meal was going to come from and how he was going to go somewhere and it could have very easily gotten him killed and in the end it did. He also was under prepared for many trips and had to rely on finding food himself or from others. This ended up getting him killed because he didn't have the right tools or barely any food going into his Alaska trip. My claim is that Chris was someone who was a little crazy and who enjoyed solitude and company.
