Can we get more information on how to handle a few students that are causing our EC teacher to miss class due to her calming a student down? EC teacher is spending too much time on 1-2 kids (hours) and she is not in the classroom serving others. Is it the EC teacher's responsibility to stay with a child for an hour and a half trying to calm him/her down? I think teachers/EC needs direction on how to handle these kids that are taking time away and services from other students. What do we need to do? Please note, this is not a reflection of the EC teacher, it's how "Stanback" has handled challenging students.
