My School-From-Home Workbook! (Day 34 - Tuesday, May 26th, 2020) by Mark Giraldi

I will be sending a new one of these each school morning to your parent's e-mail! It'll contain all of our schoolwork for the day. Any assignment submissions can be turned in through our class site (Edmodo). You should aim for one hour of schoolwork each school day! Don't forget about Ms. Garbett's weekly French work (posted on her Brightspace site), which you can access through your BYOD page (https://byod.peelschools.org/), and Mr. Bieman's Music page, which you can access through Google Classrooms (https://classroom.google.com/).

We're going to be making, testing, and graphing the results of our very own Probability game! We'll be using the 'Cootie Catcher' template below, and creating between 2 and 8 results of our choosing (such as colours, numbers, words, phrases, etc).

Use the attachment below to help you create your own 'Cootie Catcher'! If you don't know how to fold it, here are some video instructions...
https://youtu.be/PAZKv_PVcn0

After making your own, ask those in your household to try it out! Make sure to record their responses (maybe have them try it more than once if you don't have a lot of people in your household), because our next step is to graph our results!

Make sure to include the following on your bar graph...

- Title and Name
- Names of X and Y axis
- Scale (what does your Y axis go up by?)
- Legend/Labels/Colours for X axis sorting of options
- Total amount of trials your Cootie Catcher was tested for

GRAPHING SITES
https://nces.ed.gov/nceskids/createagraph/
https://www.mathsisfun.com/data/bar-graph.html

Please make sure to submit your graph on our Mathematics section of Edmodo!
