  • Was the first to recognized that phthisis and tuberculosis were contagious, distribution of diseases through soil and water, interaction of mind and body
  • Suggested treatment for lacrimal fistula
  • Stressed importance of prevention (diet, climate and environment factors)
  • Discussed rabies, hydrocele, breast cancer, tumor, labor, and treatments for poisons
  • Discussed in great detail dilation and contraction of pupils and how they are used in diagnosis, six motor muscles of eye and function of tear ducts
