        These guys were fed up with their team owner not paying them enough and decided to collaborate with a gang boss named Arnold Rothstein. Rothstein bet for the opposing team in the finals and the White Sox purposefully lost, gaining a portion of the money gambled.

Harlem Renaissance: African-American literary and artistic culture.
