We made masks to represent Pete's main emotions in the book. Also how he went on a journey between each emotion on his path to recovery. He started out angry in gangs. Then he was sad because his mom died and other things that he felt guilty for. We made this tableau to represent the main them of the book. the whole books revolves of the fact that Pete killed Dennis. This is important because Pete was a violent person and this gives the reader proof that he was a violent person. After Pete killed Dennis he regretted immediately after he did not feel that he did not deserve to go to prison. We made a tableau of the healing circle in the book. The healing circle involved smudging. It was something that helped Pete understand himself and take off his mask. We wanted this to be our tableau because it represented one of the most important parts in the healing process of Pete.
