In the movement tab of the Sphero app, you are able to set how the Sphero moves across your surface. The Sphero will be able to move in different patterns and you can control how fast it can go.

This tab has many functions such as roll (which is the basic moving forward function), Speed, and much more. You can use this program to make the Sphero roll away from you, stop, and then roll back to you.

The roll tab is probably going to be the most popular tab. This tab causes the Sphero to move around on the ground in any direction. It roll, you can decide the Spheros speed, how many seconds it will move for, and you can enter the degrees of where it is heading. The degree of direction can make it roll in whatever direction you want.

If you wanted to use this function, you can have the Sphero roll to you or even race the Sphero with others.

The stop tab is pretty much self explanatory. This function causes the Sphero to stop whatever function it is performing.

If you told your Sphero to strobe but wanted it to stop soon, then you can use the stop function. You just need to put "stop" after this function.

This tab is for the speed of the Sphero. Using this function will cause the Sphero to roll at your speed that you set. It can only move forward when you use this function and its main purpose is just to roll nonstop at a certain speed.

If you wanted your Sphero to roll nonstop, you would want to use the speed function. Even though the "roll" tab has a speed function, you have to have a certain time the Sphero stops after starting. With the "speed" tab you can have it move nonstop.
