It represents the final goal of Buddhism.</li><li>Sects: a group of people with somewhat different religious beliefs from those of a larger group to which they belong.</li></ol></li><li><strong><em>Instructional Materials and Resources*:</em></strong> PowerPoint, Fill-in-the-blank Notes, Discussion question</li><li><strong><em>Description of Instructional Strategies* and Learning Tasks*:</em></strong><ol><li><strong>Opening Activity &amp; Objective(s) Introduction: </strong>Students will be asked if they know anything about the history of Hinduism or Buddhism. After a short class discussion, we will go over the objectives to make sure the students know what will be going on for the day.</li><li><strong>Detailed Outline of Instructional Strategies and Expectations for Learning Tasks:</strong> Students will be given a fill-in-the-blank notes sheet for them to fill out during the lesson. The students will watch a short video about who Budda was and how Buddhism came to be.</li><li><strong>Lesson Closure &amp; Objective(s) Review:</strong> Students will have a discussion question that they will need to answer before leaving class. Objectives will be on the last slide of the PowerPoint, we will go over them to make sure we went over them.</li></ol></li><li><strong><em>Differentiation for All Learners:</em></strong><em> </em>Larger Font, Missing words are underlined that will be needed for fill-in-the-blank notes.
