I nominate Upton Sinclair because he showed the people what the meat packing industry was hiding from everyone. It was so cruel and nobody knew what it was hiding. His novel The Jungle helped improve working conditions in the meat-packing industry.

Thomas Nast is someone I nominate into the Muckrakers Hall of Fame. Nast thought of a new way to share what's going on during that era without writing paragraphs. This innovation allowed those that can't read to understand what's going on in the news. He was exploited monopolies and certain political officials. His ideas of political cartoons also contributed to more artists following his path and way of sharing news.

I nominate Jacob Riis because based off his book he really showed how the other half lives. He captured the way the poor really lived and gave some thought to Americans on how they should better the economy for these people. He was trying to address the living and working conditions of the poor. The way they lived made other Americans feel sorrow.

Ida tarbell can easily be seen as one of the most influential muckrakers. It was Tarbells extreme dedication and motivation to adressing the topic of injustices of the oil company that would prove her one of the most hard working muckrakers of all time. Ida spent countless years researching and interviewing to get to the bottom of a very serious topic. Ida published 19 different articals adressing the injustices in the oil companys. Her hard work helped spread much awareness to the topic and without her change may have not came. She also helped spark campiegns and other events to raise awareness.
