What was one moment from the story that had the greatest impact on you?

Zoe- I think the greatest impact in this book is when we found out that Angelique was part of Hasani's coven and had a real connection with her through their charm. I was so surprised because it seemed like Hasani and Angelique were so different. I'm happy about this because Hasani looked up to Angelique so much and deserved this moment. I think this tied the book together because it was an unexpected plot twist.

Ellie- I think the greatest impact in the book is when we found out that Hasani had been influencing her Youtube code. She was sending all of her negative comments to @annie_oaky with her charm/magic. I was very surprised because, throughout the whole book, it seemed as if her channel was doing incredible and had no negative activity This surprised me because I thought that you could only do magic intentionally.

I think the plot was a little bit too repetitive with Hasani's time at Les Belles Demoiselles. I think what brought the story together where the plot twist such as Annie going missing, Sandy getting married to Hasani's dad and Hasani having bumps in the road to growing her youtube channel. I think some key points the author could've added to the book are more of a background to Hasani's friends and explaining parts of the story better because at some points it got confusing such as the difference between charm and magic. One thing the author did well was adding sparks to the story to keep the reader eager to read more. For example, when we learned Angelique was in the same coven as Hasani and that they had a real connection as witches. I also liked how the author made a connection to Hasani's youtube channel throughout the story and with her subscribers such as when Annie went missing. I think this helped tie the story together because it moved the topic from witches to the whole story. I was also very surprised when the author revealed that Ms. Larose was Dee's mom! To end I would rate this book a 3/5 stars! Im happy I choose to read this book but to conclude I would give the authors some revisions but the plot idea was well done. I would rate this book this way because it had a mostly good plot and definitely shocked me and my book club at the end. I feel that if I was the author I would change some of the plot because I think it is a little repetitive. I also think the book was a little slow in the beginning, and turned very fast-paced in the end. There are still some parts of the book that I still don't understand, and that the author could have explained better and/or elaborated on. This includes if Hasani told her father she was a witch, and the difference between charm and magic. Also, when another witch can see your magic, does that mean that you both are bonded, or can every witch just see each other's. I have some questions about the book. Why is magic so bad, other than the fact that it drains your powers. Overall, my inference was correct.
