Yes we should protect the wolves because, number one wolves kill each other to live. They are not only endangered they attack each other and just kill them and don’t eat them so that means other animals can come and eat the wolf. But with doing that the wolf are causing some of this “The greatest threat to the wolves are other wolves.” Second is the kill on sight for people, it is when if found a wolf or a pack the person is allowed to shoot them on sight. So that is going to decrease the population, and wolves explore a lot and that means the will be seen more by people. Third thing is humans, so we take away land and that means animals lose that land for humans to build on and when they move to wolves and then put them back in their homes the food web was all messed up “Since reintroduction, wolves have dispersed throughout the region, returning to ecosystems that had long suffered in their absence. They are currently found in Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Washington, Oregon and Northern California. Still, they have not yet been reestablished in the wild areas of their former range: Colorado, Utah, Nevada and large portions of other Western states where the wolf population stands at zero.” And with this evidence it will slowly cause the wolf population to go down, this is why they need to be protected.

Organisms affect each other in many ways. For example predators and prey, this is a cycle and there are primary consumers, secondary consumers, and produces. The predators or the secondary consumers eat the primary which eats the produces. These all provide for each other to survive and live but is there is something missing like a primary consumer it will mess up the food chain. This will cause the predators to eat the rest of the animals that are left and will then fight each other for food to eat. This happens in the Bear Necessities game where bear fought for food and died if they didn't get what they needed to live. In the game, all of the cubs fought as well for food and made the adult population change a lot from 20%, 8%, 7% 20% with cubs and 1% with adult bears. The same thing can happen if a new animal enters a food chain that is in-progress. So all animals provide for each other but if those things happen it will kill an entire population of animals. We also have aquatic populations like reefs, there are fish, plants, and the little aquatic creatures. But in the Discovery News video, he says "Reefs actually provide a lot for the earth, we need the reef or we would be in chaos." Also with fishing, if people are gonna go for one kind of fish species then that will affect the fish population just as on land. And in some cases, if a fish is being caught and the population is no more then another fish can take over. In the Gizmo the Grouper eats the Snapper and fishing for the Grouper at 70% their population went down and without the Grouper the Snapper population went up. So organisms depend on each other and can't live without each other and humans depend on them to let us live too.
