A good tool for Teachers and Students

It is used through google chrome and is on all devices.  It allows you do so much with and for the students from collaboration to shared editing and overall communication by hangout, email or classroom

It isn't perfect but it is a good tool for keeping tabs on student work and giving assignments etc.

I use it mainly in paper form for my students but it can also be digital. The article of a day is a great idea to improve students book of knowledge.

It is a wonderful recording program that is easy to add as a Google Chrome Extension and to your desk top.  It is then easy to share, edit and record videos in a few clicks.  

The best thing is that Educators can get a free account.  I used it for virtual reading where I'd show text and read it for the students and then we'd ask and answer questions in google docs or slides.

It works with most platforms and people usually sign in with a google or Microsoft account.

Learners share and record and share short videos (with loads of tools and effects) with a class or learning community.  It can be used with so many things from class discussions to explaining a key concept etc. It also now has a nice screen casting feature so you can do up to 10mins of screen recording.

Reading Comprehension is so important and this tool meets the students where they are and is adaptive throughout. It has good tracking tools and a huge range of articles.

I love using Mystery Science with my kids because it gives them great videos to introduce a topic and now a lot of the science activities can be done simply at home.

They just add the extension to their chrome browser and they can use it most text on a screen.  It has really helped a few of them.

There is a free version and a paid up subscription (more tools and unlimited assessments in ELA and Math - we didn't add on SS or Science this year as it was extra)

I've only used it on computers but it is pretty easy to use and set up and you can assign things to Google Classroom.  The only slight issue is the access to the platform is not as secure as you'd like.
