Graph with integrity: I found this graph that has good integrity on Google images. This is an accurate representation of data because the data numbers are an equal distance apart and it starts the data on the chart at zero. As well this graph has the important features of a title and labels on the x and y axis. It also comes along with a key so that the reader knows what each bar line represents.

This graph was created off Fox news, which you would think would be a reliable source. But the news channels try to lead a viewer in a certain point of view rather than giving out the data in an appropriate matter. The graph is misleading due the first fact it does not contain a y-axis. This graph also makes it seem as though the different between 6,000,000 and 7,066,00 extremely different. When in-fact those numbers are not as far apart as the graph makes it seem.

Graph with integrity:

This graph was created by ABC news. ABC news is known for giving out appropriate graph that are not misleading. This graph is a good graph with integrity because this graph starts at zero. It also has an appropriate y axis interval. All of the bar lines are reasonable in height. They do not try to persuade with misleading heights of the bars. But instead they give out the evidence with honesty. And it is up to the viewer to make there own opinion about the graph

Not only is this research center credible, giving us confidence that the data is accurate, it also displays the data honestly. They do not present the data in a way that makes Fox News seem more or less popular than any of the others.

Misleading Graph:
This graph is meant to make the reader assume that instead of performing cancer screenings and prevention services Planned Parenthood focuses on abortion services. The information is presented individually without a scale on the side so that the data looks more dramatic than it is. Abortion services went up by less than a 50,000 from 2006 to 2013 while cancer screening and prevention services went down by over 1,000,000, therefore the information is not accurately presented. More than 600,000 more cancer screenings and prevention services were performed than abortion services by Planned Parenthood in 2013 and this graph does not accurately portray that information.

Graph with Integrity:
This is the same exact information from the Planned Parenthood graph that is misleading but it is graphed in a way that accurately shows the data. While abortion services did go up from 2006 to 2013 it was only slightly compared to the lack of Cancer screening & prevention services and the amount of cancer screenings performed still surpasses the amount of abortions performed by Planned Parenthood. The amount of abortions compared to the amount of cancer screenings and prevention services performed is not correlated, and should be presented that way.

Misleading Graph:
This graph is misleading because it portrays a relatively small difference of 6.9 million as a very large gap. The data is probably accurate, but the way it is presented makes the gap seem much larger than it actually is. News channels often do this to fit their own political agenda.

Misleading Graph: I found this misleading graph off of a website that provided readers with good and bad examples of graphs. This graph was used by CNN to show who agreed with the court to make the decision of removing the feeding tube from Terry Schiavo after a years-long court battle. This graph is not accurate because the y-axis doesn't start at zero and the numbers in the y-axis are so spread apart it makes it look like the percent of Democrats who agreed was three times as big as the percent of Republicans and Independents. The reality was Democrats were only 6% more than the two and not three times as much.
