Pressures on water resources are mounting because of competing demands across sectors, urbanization, pollution and ecosystem degradation. At the same time, climate change is rapidly increasing the water risks to people, the economy, and nature. 
 
Contributions will be needed from all stakeholders – from the policy, business, development and science communities, working together with youth – to achieve water security while these pressures on water resources and the impacts of climate change intensify. Jointly, we as stakeholders must close the gaps – among knowledge and research, policy, business, investment and implementation on-the-ground – that stop or slow inclusive transformation of water systems.
