A time when communication is necessary for me is when I'm playing football for Athersley Rec. Being a goalkeeper, I get a view of the entire pitch, meaning that I can see what other players can't. When an attacker drifts away from their defender, I'm able to notify the defender that he has moved away, meaning the defender can reposition themselves if needed. However, a lot of the times, the defenders will not listen to me, which could result in the other team scoring. Only thing I can think of is that I'm not shouting loud enough.

When I came to college, I had to enroll first. I met up with the course leader Lindsey and she ran me through what we would be doing in the course. I mostly felt that my social skills were being put to the test while she was explaining, and I felt I was saying "yep" and "ok" too much.

Last week we were given the MTA kits and we were asked to build certain structures as a team, such as a wheelbarrow, a chair and a shelter. We worked as a team to make sure the structure we built was both stable and resembled what we were told to build. We did well with making the wheelbarrow and the shelter, as our wheelbarrow was completely functional. However our chair was completely deformed and only had three legs. It took some balancing to sit on it but it didn't collapse.

In coaching, we had to plan out a session and deliver it to the rest of the class. In our team, we agreed on doing a basketball session. We did well showing the class the correct technique for shooting a basket, however we thought that we were in the hall, but instead we were outside and we had to make do with what we had.

At goalkeeper training, we had to perform a side volley into a goal. The person to my left signaled to me that she didn't know how to do it, so I quickly taught her how to do it in thirty seconds. She managed to do it first time.

I helped Cal run an event involving primary school children. It involved counting the scores from the bean bag toss and timing the races.
