Relating back to the Neo- Indian Society as discussed in Unit 9.Males were expected to fulfill the Needs of society and the Females had the role of child-bearing, socialization and also child-rearing. The men were given responsibilities of gathering food and hunting and also the protection of individuals, because they possess a great deal of strength the physical survival of the people in the society depended on the male. whereas, the women were given the tasks of planting, preserving, harvesting crops, nurturing and also taking care of the household where the extended families lived.

Although, the issue of Gender Inequality has been traced back as early as the Neo-Indian Society it is still happening in the Modern Caribbean Society and also in the other countries. But it is extremely important to note that there was a great emphasis on the physical abilities of the men. The fact is however, that the society does not need to have the physical abilities of the men to survive in modern society.

Are Men Victims In Society

Relating to the patriarchy system the men are shown as the breadwinners of the household whereas the women are shown as the caretakers. So it shows that the men should have more power in society. Although, it may seem that the patriarchy system is in favor of men and their advantages in society, it is far more complex than what individuals see.

Men are given a number of privileges in the society, whereas, women are not aware of these privileges. While, Individuals believe that men are victims of this patriarchy system that has controlled society.this has guided us to the number of beliefs in the advocate in the authorization and the rights of women. Although, in my opinion it is right for women to have the sense of empowerment, for both genders the patriarchy system affects them negatively.

The society we live in already has their view or perspective of what exactly forms o be a man and what form is to be a woman ( expectations). An example of this would be the perspective of the men in society are typically more closed up in terms of their feelings or emotions and subtle.but this is only natural.Whereas, the women tend to be more open with their feelings and emotions. The belief is that through is use of socialization with family, friends, place of worship. These show the concept that women and men at an early age developed the sense that if you are perceived as "masculine" you must hide or mask your emotions whereas for the women it would be the opposite.

Feminism Is It Really a Gender Equality or Sexism

In modern society, the women are doing an extraordinary job at making strides in the society and surpassing the men in the areas. An example of this would be the divorce cases of the husband and wives, it is a known fact that in most instances the women are given the custody of the children, whereas, the men are given the responsibility of child support. This example shows that the feminism system favors the women as more the ideal caretaker and and men as the income producer that would have to have the misfortune of paying the expenses.

Another example of this would also be the "wage or salary" given to the both genders. In the workplace it is wrongful to favor one gender, meaning to pay those individual/s a higher or lower pay grade cause of their sex.

It is important to note that men has also come across many inequalities in today's society, that has led them to not fulfill their roles and duties. However, gender equality has supported the right of one sex over time which would be the women.

This particular photo i chose represents that does Feminism truly believe in Gender Equality? I t also questions whether or not women want to be equality in all aspects or just some aspects in areas of society. An example would be the women having these expectations of the men pursuing them in relationships such as marriage proposals, dinner dates , special occasions and also wooing them. Why is this viewed as an Male duty in society?
