I'm looking for a Falmouth creative/researcher to co-apply for Creative FX funding for a collaborative project.


I'm a Postdoctoral Research Associate working on the University of Exeter's Nature Recovery and Regional Development (NaRReD) project. My PhD was in Environmental Social Science (a frame analysis of Extinction Rebellion), my Masters was in Writing and Literature, and undergrad in Creative Industries. I am interested in exploring a social research methodology called Rhythmanalysis, which is geared towards capturing the rhythms of society, but also has a wonderful potential to incorporate this with environmental, ecological, climatic, cosmic, bodily rhythms – and to integrate this with creative practice and output. I also have a musical background (including as a percussionist) which is why this methodology really speaks to me. I'm looking for a creative practitioner/early career researcher at Falmouth who might like to devise a rhythmanalysis project with me to further the interdisciplinary and creative potential of this methodology, focussing on ecological, climatic and social rhythms (and more?). I'm imagining a place-specific focus. Although I work remotely from in Kent, I'll be coming to Penryn every so often, and fieldwork in Cornwall is totally possible. I'm open to any creative discipline/practitioner – visual artist, musician, video, dance – and would love to see how a project around this methodology might unfold through collaboration and in relation to a particular place.
